The Transfiguration Hermitage is a Benedictine retreat center in Windsor, Maine. Their environmentally conscious buildings are located amidst 64 acres of rolling hills, woods, meadows and blueberry fields. It is a lovely, peaceful, pastoral setting.

You will be warmly welcomed for a private, silent retreat. There are 4 single rooms in the retreat house and 2 bathrooms. The building features a common living area and kitchen. Breakfast items are stocked for you and lunch and dinner will be prepared and brought to you in the retreat house.

You are invited to attend daily prayer with the three resident sisters: Teacher and author - Sister Elizabeth,author of Meditations from a Hermitage, Seasons in my Garden; baker extraordinaire - Sr. Bernadette (cakes, cookies, jams, hot sauce); and newest Sister to join the community, Sr. Scholastica.

The Hermitage is a God-centered place of peace and solitude, where people of all faiths, can seek the healing presence of the Spirit. Spiritual direction may be available during your stay if you so desire.

The property features a one-mile prayer trail, a Stations of the Cross trail, and beautiful, productive gardens. There is a gift shop and they take their delicious baked goods to local Farmer's markets and sell some in the gift shop and online.
