Quiet Days

Guild Quiet Days are offered as a time to be together in silence, followed by individual silent time. They often include a simple meal of soup and bread or light refreshment, beverages, and spiritual conversation. They are sponsored by Guild leaders on a monthly basis at various locations in northern New England.

Quiet Days are materially supported by hosts and participants in accord with each person’s gifts and talents. If you are interested in forming a Guild Quiet Day in your area, please contact us at info@northeastguild.org.

The Brunswick Area Quiet Days group meets on Saturday every other month at rotating addresses. We hope you can join us. Feel free to bring a friend if you would like. We start gathering around 9 am and begin our meditation at 9:30 am.

The format is an opening poem, 20 minutes of meditation and centering prayer, silence until lunchtime, a simple soup lunch eaten in silence, then a short period of sharing. During the silent time, you may sit, read, write, draw, relax, walk the labyrinth, or do whatever suits your fancy.

We end by 1:30 pm. To RSVP, contact Nancy. If you would like to help out by bringing cheese, crackers, fruit, bread, or cookies, please let us know.
