Pamella Starbird Beliveau

Pamella-Starbird-BeliveauThe writings of contemporary theologians Elizabeth Johnson, Mary Hunt, Ronald Rolheiser and John O'Donohue have deeply influenced my work, particularly in the area of "embodied spirituality" and how Spirit expresses itself through the interweaving of body and soul. I recognize ambiguity and vulnerability as component parts of the holy rhythm within the human journey, and believe that it is precisely our vulnerability and woundedness that can act as an invitation for dynamic change and spiritual growth, ultimately creating an expanded notion of faith. My interest in embodied spirituality drives my passion for social justice, particularly in ministries that advocate for women, children, and families living in poverty and in at-risk situations. I believe in inclusiveness as modeled by the ministry of Jesus.

Pamella is an accomplished guide in encouraging others as they discern their spiritual gifts and explore the Sacred Presence in their lives. With a concentration in spirituality, her graduate degree is in pastoral ministery from Boston College School of Theology and Ministry where she studied under internationally recognized theologians. It has been her privilege to be mentored by Janet Blakeley. She is certified in the Prepare/Enrich program to work with couples as they reflect upon their relationship patterns, gifts, and areas for growth.
