Click here to download the Application Form as a PDF.

Dear Prospective Applicants,

Thank you for your interest in applying to become an Associate of the Northeast Guild for Spiritual Formation.

The process of applying to become a Guild Associate is not intended to be onerous, but it is one that requires considerable discernment on your part and the Guild’s.

First, we ask that you read the application on the reverse side of this page, giving careful consideration to the five questions as you prepare to respond to them in writing.

Second, we ask that you familiarize yourself with two documents: the Guild Rule of Life and Guild Guidelines for Ethical Conduct, available here at our web site, northeastguild.org.

Third, after discerning you wish to proceed, please send your completed application to Eric at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or with attention to him at Northeast Guild for Spiritual Formation, PO Box 335, Bass Harbor, ME 04653.

This will set in motion a four-stage process that we seek to have occur within a period of 30 days:

  1. After receiving your application and confirming he has received it,
  2. Eric will send it to three Associates who will also review your application.
  3. Eric will then set up an interview with you, in an agreed upon place in Downeast Maine, southern Maine, or southern New Hampshire. Three Associates will meet with you to explore further your interest in becoming a Guild Associate. If at all possible, these three will meet with you in person; if necessary, one Associate may need to attend via telephone or video conference.
  4. Within seven days, the panel of Associates will convey their discernment to Eric, who will send you a letter of their determination.

If you have questions about any aspect of this process, please contact Eric Erickson at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or 207.244.5168.

Blessings,
Eric Erickson, Coordinator, Northeast Guild
